How to study in college-College study tips

Step 1.
Survey- This basically is just a preview or get an idea of the material that is about to be studied. Look at the material and note titles, subtitles, headings, illustrations, introductory paragraphs and unfamiliar vocabulary. Try to get the main idea of the material you’re about to read.

Step2.
Question- Based upon the survey, write down questions that you think you should know the answer to upon completion of reading the material. Questions may be written on the front of a study card. This step is useful for allowing you to think about the material .

Step 3
Read- Separate the material into sections.
Reread any section which you may not understand very well. Ensure that you have found the answers to the questions asked above, which you may write on the back of the study card.
Read actively by visualizing the material, talking aloud if you can the more senses you engage while studying the better your memory of the material.
Extra questions may also be added at this point

Step 4
Review
Always review you’re work. You can do this by turning over the study card and asking yourself the question you came up with. Check your answers afterwards
